ALL NEW Star Party in San Diego Mountains - August 1 - 3, 2008
JOIN US on August 1, 2 and 3, 2008 for the FIRST ANNUAL Julian
Starfest. This is destined to become one of North America's finest
Star Parties, and you can be present for the very first one -- Version
1.0 -- something you can brag about to your great grandchildren!
Julian, California has some of the darkest, steadiest skies in
Southern California, and at 4,300 feet elevation above the Anza
Borrego Desert, offers superb astronomical viewing. This to-be-yearly
event will be your opportunity to enjoy some outstanding astronomy
while enjoying an astronomy vendor exhibition area, swap meet, guest
lecturers, tour of Palomar Observatory and camaraderie that comes with
associating with fellow astronomers.
>From Oceanside, Escondido or Ramona go east on Hwy 78 to historic
Julian. From La Mesa, take I-8 to Descanso and then Hwy 79 to Julian.
Our Web site is still being finalized, but REGISTER NOW while there
are still good lodgings and good camping spots available.
