Rob,

   By 2002, Mike Koop was publishing the list of loaner scopes in the 
Ephemeris.  I just checked Jan - Dec 2002, and the loaner program 
article appears on the second-last page of *every* issue.  How did you 
not see it?

   Thanks for the fine description of how you made such good use of 
the loaner program.  It strongly supports my feeling that we need a 
wide range of sizes, even if some are not trivial to use.
