If a 3rd party was trying to sell this then I would list the item without
comment. However the club is selling it which implies we believe someone
should purchase it.

As a minimum we would be disingenuous and possibly even hypocritical if we
do not explain why someone should purchase a scope we specifically tell them
not to. Stating that "yes we said not to buy one of these, but..."
acknowledges the conflict between what we say in our beginner material and
our willingness to sell this scope. At $25 my opinion is somewhat softer
than at the $150 list price.
