- Rates will change on May 12. The rate structure will basically remain the
same (no new categories) except for Periodical Class mailers, who will now
receive a new 5% "limited circulation" discount if they have at least one
piece mailed using in-county rates and have fewer than 5,000 pieces mailed
at outside-county rates. We will provide an update to Postage $aver around
the beginning of May to implement the new rates and corresponding changes in
postage statements.


- In November, USPS will begin requiring "move update" information for ALL
bulk mailings. If you are currently CASS-certifying your list, "move update"
can be added easily and probably at little to no additional cost. If you are
currently not barcoding, and therefore not CASS-certifying, the least
expensive way to meet this requirement will likely be to start putting
"address correction requested" on your mail. None of this will be necessary
until fall and we will let you know as USPS firms up their rules on this
issue.
