The April Ephemeris (sometimes called the FM) is available for review at:

Please note the following:
1. Do I have the board of directors right?
2. At this time, the April Ephemeris is 10 pages long. We haven't tried to print an issue that was not either 8 or 12 pages. My plan at this point is to not send pages 7 and 8 to the printer but leave them in the PDF and HTML version. This means the following will not be in the print version: The Space Place column, the Treasurer's report and The Last 29 days in Astronomy list.
3. I plan to send this version to the printer very early Monday morning.

A couple of things about article submissions. I should probably put these in a web page somewhere on our site.
a) Contrary to popular opinion, I find Word documents easier to handle than text documents. Mostly it's the carriage returns that are easier to handle in Word.
b) Photos that contain text are problematic because I almost always want to resize the photo and the text gets degraded. Photos are converted to TIFF for placement in the page layout program. JPEGs are used for the HTML version. If the picture is in color, I usually have to make two TIFF versions - one in grayscale. All of this manipulation may impact the photos.
c) I have started to receive some article in HTML format. I will try to keep the HTML version for the HTML Ephemeris but the net effect is that it is harder to work with files that arrive as HTML.
