I will transfer the scope to the first loanee on Friday.  The price
breakdown of the scope is

In December the board agreed to pay 50% of the cost of this purchase.  We
can settle and sign the donation letter at the next board meeting.

I will write the letter.  I expect this will reduce any donation for the
auction, but will ask anyway.
