Hello Members,

A member and former Board member of the San Diego Astronomy Association has been asked to look into the non-taxable status of an observing site. He is hoping the AANC or one of our member associations might be experienced in the process of exempting 501c3 owned real estate from county taxes. In researching the process, he has found the exemption from the CA State Board of Equalization for an Organization Clearance Certificate and the SD County process for filing this exemption. However he would like to contact a similar association that has gone through this process.
   If you or someone in your organization might be able to shed some light (so to speak) on the process, ask them to email me and I will forward your contact information to him.
