[SJAAboard] The "trombone" scope is a winner!

The trombone scope (if you saw the case you would understand the nick name) is
definitely a scope we want in the loaner program.  It looks like a complete
ST120 on a motorized EQ-3 mount.  That is a fairly solid yet still toward the
entry level mount.  It has a wide range of filters.

In my mind this should replace #23 and #35.  Both Newts on Equatorials requiring
AC power.  This also gives us a lower end refractor than the fluorite.

I am going to set the scope up tomorrow just to check it.  Given how very well
it is packed I am not expecting problems.


Rich and I also looked at a 5" SCT while I was at Orion today.  I would like to
replace the 4 8" wedge SCTs with this one.  This also gives the club another GO
TO scope.
