I chatted with Rudy in the reuse group for about 15 minutes today. He was able
to provide some very high level information on what the goals are. The overall
goal is to find users for the facilities. I think that will be challenging
since Houge lacks some of the creature comforts of the newer centers.

The reuse group is currently putting together a request for proposal. The
Request For Proposal will be issued "soon". We will have to submit a proposal to
continue to use Houge. The application that we just completed will be
terminate. Once we submit a proposal they will evaluate it. Two types of
groups will be serviced; Service Providers and users. Rudy was not able to give
me very much detail, but his general description made it sound like it would be
better if we were one of the former. The latter though might have fewer rules.

I educated Rudy on why Houge was unique for us and moving to another city
facility would be difficult. He acknowledged that our hours of use made it
unlikely that we would have a schedule conflict.

One good thing is that the process is free.

Thus we are going to have to wait until the detailed RFP is issued. One that
happens we will have to scramble to respond. It does not sound like we can
ignore this thing.
