I look at how much time and effort it takes to run the SJAA loaner program.  A lot.
It was a surprise to me how many non newbies are using the loaner program.  

I think you and I have a different view of life.  I like the idea of being independent.  I feel 
uncomfortable borrowing things.  I don't like to ask for help setting up my telescope.  I don't
buy telescopes so large that I need help to set them up.  I'm happy to help someone else, but 
very uncomfortable asking for help. This is one part of getting older that very much concerns
me.  

If you and the rest of the board don't mind maintaining the program, even if people are, IMHO,
taking advantage of the system,..  then I accept the board's decision.  But, the board should look
for someone to replace me on the loaner program.
