What offer?  Did he make an offer?  That $25 was your idea.

And please stop saying you're just a messenger.  You've
quoted an asking price, you're the one in charge of the
loaner program, you've spearheaded the thinning of the
collection, and you've been actively dealing with this
particular mirror.  That makes you way more than just a
messenger, you're more involved than any of us.
