The SJAA shouldn't have been doing it on its own these  past few years.
The SJAA shouldn't have pushed TAC out of its original  roll.

I think that Rich has got it !!!!
 
IMO the SJAA Board made a great mistake in 2007 by giving one
of its members exclusive control of organizing the event.  This
prevented other members and attenders of CalStar who had
volunteered at the event from officially being included or having
any say.  [please note the word official]
 
TAC people who had volunteered were offended (but quiet) and
I was offended (but NOT quiet).  The Board chose to ignore
this input - no one else was ever offically added to the
organizers list!  Please PAY ATTENTION  Board members!
(postings on a web site are not official Board actions)
 
 So, those who have gone and volunteered in the past - like
myself - have been upset when the Board decided no caterer.
Maybe others had their own reasons to be upset.  In 2009 I
will be sure to volunteer - for the caterer or to run the park
Barbeque Trailer .. and I'm sure my offer will be graciously
accepted!
