[SJAAboard] Do we need to tape the meetings?

I was the secretary in another club years ago, and I did that routinely.
I'd record the meeting, taking only very brief occasional notes, then
transcribe later using the tape.  If I missed something, just rewind a
bit and listen again.  I never missed anything that way.  And I used the
same tape over, so I only had the last meeting on tape at any given time.
No one there ever found it objectionable, but they did recognize the
practice for what it was--accurate minute taking.
