[SJAAboard] Do we need to tape the meetings?

It's not worth the time to do a recording and given the acoustics of that room I think you'd have a very difficult time getting a good recording unless everyone had a mic and even then they would have to be talking into it and not mumbling as sometimes happens.

I recall the decision to give the 60mm scope(s) to project astro and remember writing it down. It could be that you don't have the correct month.

But let's get really concrete here and not be beaurocratic-- just give them the scope and don't worry about it a second more. Do you really think anyone on the board would oppose this after the long discussion we had about trying to give away the 60mm scopes? The loaner program operates as a subcommittee and does not need board approval for every decision. This was what enabled me to sell #28 without board approval, because the loaner subcommittee approved of this decision.

My thought was I would just do this myself instead of taking notes. It would
not be a permanent record, but I could use it in case people's memories
differed on what happened. It would allow me to replay the meeting to see if
there was something the minutes did not capture.
