I was thinking the same thing Mark. I think this scope could give inspiring views and could be designated as a public night workhorse for someone to use who is already doing a lot of public nights.

Good info Dave, thank you.

Then is a suggestion, not that I'm pushing hard in this direction.

Perhaps the club wants to consider this as a lunar and planetary scope 
to bring out to Houge Park for the public?

I just think we're potentially dealing with something special in this 
case, its not like someone wanting to donate an old 10" Coulter with a 
bad primary.
