I beg to differ. We are required to furnish a letter for any contribution
above $250. Their donation letter is carefully worded to match what we are
required to say in ours.

The wording is different from a non-cash donation.  Basically, you have to
acknowledge that $xxx was received and there was no quid per quo.

I file as many as 7 to 10 of these letters per year. I am extremely familiar
with the details of the charity tax code.
