NOTE:  If we only had the auction (no swap or donations) and didn’t
sell anything of our own, we would have made only $166.90.  In other
words, the City fee would have been 70.2% of our net.  As it is,
the City fee was 12.7% of the auction, or 11.6% including the swap
and donations.

We still have some thinning to do of the loaner program, so it’s a
fair guess that next year’s auction will be similar.

If we don’t have anything of our own to sell, we should seriously
consider not holding the auction at Houge.  With the City fee,
there’s a chance the auction could be a net loss.
