They would still need to water and mow the grass, keep the lights on,
and have the cops check it now and then.
For the cost of demolishing the bathrooms and meeting room, they could
pay for many years of maintenance for the two buildings. I would guess they spend
maybe 3/4 of an hour to wash the bathrooms everyday. They very seldom clean
our the meeting room. We haven't had the heater running for at least 2 years
because the city hasn't made it available to us (it doesn't heat when turned on).
They aren't spending much to keep those two buildings up and running compared
to the maintaining the lawn.
If they do get rid of the two buildings I don't think it will increase the value
of the park and the neighborhood.
Would the city keep the tennis courts open?
