I can't imagine that the city would just sell the park to a developer.
In this case, I think "closing" Houge means permanently padlocking and
eventually demolishing the bathrooms and the meeting room. The point
being to make the park as maintenance free as possible. But in today's
economic climate, who knows.

If the city sold Houge and the entire park was filled with homes, I'll
bet it would reduce the value of the homes already near the park.
