The minutes also do not reflect the conversation we had concerning Nelson.
It is important that this be on the record. I believe this to be a balanced
account of what occurred.

No one wanted to discuss my culture proposals so we went ahead and voted on
the insurance framing the question as a negative so it could be introduced.
That passed 8-0 with almost no discussion.

Based on the level of outrage before the meeting I asked if it was time to
consider removing Steve. We did not take a formal vote. Everyone expressed
that his being on the board was a negative. I stated that I was not ready
to take the question to the membership.

A member offered an alternative approach that just required a board vote. He
was going to email the reference in the bylaws. I agreed to help him write
up the list of particulars. No one spoke up in opposition and several people
spoke in favor both during and after the meeting. I don't know how many of
us understood the nature of what the member was proposing. (I later found
that reference was to terminating him as a member instead of just removing
him from the board.)

We discussed that I would not be at the next meeting and whether we should
wait until December to discuss this further. Several people expressed that I
should just register a proxy vote.
