Would the club be interested in a lightly used Starblast?
I have one, nearly new, that I've been trying to figure out
what to do with. I bought it as a present for my grandmother when
she started getting interested in astronomy, but she never used it
and gave it back when she moved to a much smaller place. It's
currently in Burbank, but I could pick it up when I'm there over
the holidays and bring it back in January. Maybe half price, or
whatever you think is fair?

It's a neat little scope -- I agree it's a good idea for the loaner
program and the beginners' class, whether or not you want mine.
Especially if we anticipate getting new members who have, or are, kids.
