Self dealing. ?  Generally this is considered a questionable  practice.
Do you have a specific reference on what the retail price is?
 
 
I think having more 'electronic scopes' is a great idea.  This is  what
we are seeing more of with visitors.  (and I know several of us  have
Meade LX class instuments ourselves!)
