Hi Rob,

The trade off, as you know, by moving the date to earlier
in the year is hotter temps.  

I wouldn't call the conflicts a matter of PCness,  It is just a
matter of when people can attend.

If the GSSP event is in July then August would be clear.

It would be a lot easier more people were into lunar, or solar,
observing.  :-)
