There's another aspect that has not been mentioned.
A good magnifying finder is an auxiliary telescope! This does not
include th wretched 6x30 with a singlet objective.
My 8x50 finder is a fine instrument. The main 8" f/6 can give 1.3
degree true field, so it shows half of the Pleiades. The finder
presents a more pleasing view of the overall cluster. It's not merely a
finder.

Huh. It looked good with my version 4.
Rob -- you did a masterful job of adding to the existing (1975) text
in that booklet. It retains the older text, and the additions seem to
follow a similar style, so it reads well. Thanks!
