Per your request the link at the top of the main page is now named "Loaner
Telescopes".  The loaner program is also under Club Information in the main
list.

My own experience is different. Initially I had only a red dot on my 8"
under the theory that I could use a wide field eyepiece for the "finder".  I
found I could operate much more efficiently with both. I teach using both a
red dot and magnifying finder in the beginner's program.  It would be nice
if the beginner's scopes took the classes' recommendations.
