Cleaning up scopes (perhaps for sale).
After the parts are sorted - I would be willing to "store"
one or too to see if they have good optics and work
as motorized scopes. This is outside loner program and
mainly to give to Gary (as treasurer) better info for sale.
SCT of the 8" size, on wedges, of the 1970-85s range are
in excess on the resale, donation and propably Loaner
Scopes inventory. Celestron Ultima 200 is probably
NOT a goto (cyberscope) but rather a 2 axis motor
controlled unit. I completely understand Rob's desire to
not "just add" these in the Loaners. IMO this is the
right technical decision.
- ON The other hand - SJAA can count on a slew of these
donations. How can we use them for $ and club programs.
Checkout- slightly refurbrish - resell, same and give to
other clubs. give to schools.
- Finially - harvest the BEST parts OTA, drive controllers,
tripods, wedges, motors, eyepieces, finders, cords.
As specific updates to existing # in the current
inventory (I.e. slow updates). The SCT now on the
Inventopry have some controller problems. They
do need something done.
