SJAA board meeting March 19, 2011

Meeting called to order 6:44 PM

Minutes of February board meeting approved.
Board votes to support IDA with a $100 donation.
     Place direct link on web-page to IDA.
Board votes to delegate a member to work with city for lighting issues.  
Perhaps Lecomte or Brauer.
Beginner classes - place list on board meeting. Assign topics to 
speakers 2 months in advance.
April 22 - Rod will do spring constellations.
May - Mark will do galaxies if scheduled.
Rob will reply with a date for kids beginners.
Kids stuff first 10 minute of each beginners class.  Solicit teachers.  
Rob and Greg chair.
Publicity is going well.
Publicize new chair positions in Ephemeris.
Houge March 25th - Mark open and close.
Houge April 8 - Robert closes, Lee opens.
Houge April 22 - Rich opens - Mark contact JVN about closing.
Houge May 13 - Lee opens - Mark contact JVN about closing.
Officer election:
     Mark president
     Greg vice president
     Rob secretary
     Robert treasurer
Transfer of membership chair to Rob J.
Gregory Award - ask Robert to say club affirms unanimous desire, and to 
have Robert give the award.
Each meeting will train board to open and close.
Rich contact Freeman as auctioneer.
Yahoo group for auction.
Loaner scopes - continue how to ensure returns.
Move mailing lists to google.

Meeting adjourned 7:50 pm.
