Meeting called to order: 6:45 PM

August board meeting minutes approved.

Treasurers report delivered.  Things running about same as last month.

Rich to send Dave a note about speakers.

August and September memberships approved.

Loaner telescope requirements are being updated as:
     1. Scopes are not to be loaned to anyone < 18 without adult    
  cosigner.
     2. Board approval of membership is required prior to loaning.
     3. Loanee not to attempt disassembly, repair or cleaning of any    
  optics without direct supervision of loaner scope committee.
     The above language voted and accepted by board.

Mark - Check with insurance company to be certain SJAA insurance is in 
place for CalStar.  If a modest co-pay is required to cover any 
reasonable costs of insurance.  Motion passes.

Prepare for Slide and Equipment 3 months in advance in 2011.

Mark Oct 1 Houge Park star party
Rich other Houge Park star party night through October.

For October board meeting - decide on > $2500 in new equipment for 2010 
to meet City requirement and rebuild loaner program.

Proposed new SJAA logo accepted in general form.  Seek to finalize its form.

Board votes to have Rich discuss with Lick Observatory the upcoming 
volunteer program for 2011.  SJAA to support the program with volunteers?

Motion to increase junior membership with print Ephemeris to $20 as of 
1/2011 approved.

Robert Armstrong now doing Post Office task.

Acknowledge donations in final Ephemeris each year.

Thank you to Phil Chambers for repairing fluorite Vixen.

Refreshments - club will refund for reasonable cost of refreshments and 
utensils.  Gordon and Rob will coordinate.  Advertise refreshments.

Put call out for current SJAA member photos.
