June 26, 2010 Board meeting called to order 6:45 pm

May minutes approved
Beginners class for May 15 present
Star party approx 100 attended
Membership report: 291 members total
Publicity chair -- Mark to helps with FB and Meetup.  Robert request fliers.
Beginner class -- July 2 constellations.  Class begins 8:30PM  Rod.  
Gordon begin at 8:30 pm on 30th
Kevin opens/closes on 2nd.
Rich opens and closes on 16th.
Mark opens on 30th.

Beginner class -- use S&T and Astronomy for guidelines for beginners 
class, 365 Days Of Astronomy, Turn Left At Orion.  Use these for topics 
for each month.  Add in practical astronomy -- different things involved 
in observing.   Explore how often to offer beginning imaging, and 
solicit teacher.  4 times a year for imaging, 8 times a year for visual.

Club logo -- Robert volunteers to collect some potential logos.  
Directors can offer suggestions.

Mark -- contact Ozer to see about CafePress and SJAA.

Kevin will check with credit union to see if club can become member.  
This is for potential investment.

Solar scope -- committee will see what application there is.  Committee 
consist of Rich, Rod, Robert.

Unanimous decision to change membership to $20 per year electronic 
ephemeris, $30 for print. Beginning 1/1/11

Membership -- new and renewal accepted.

Meeting adjourned 7:45 pm
