SJAA BOARD MEETING 2/27/10

 

Called to order 6:34 pm

Absent excused - Greg Claytor

 January Minutes approved

Treasurer report
            Investment - T-Bills, laddered in 3 month incriments to 1 year.
            Checking account balance of $3K for safety.
            approved.
            $150 written to Post Office for stamps for Ephemeris, given 
to Gordon.
Astro-class March 5 - Rod.
School star parties - going well.
Membership - new and renewing member applications approved, membership 
now at 286.
Loaner program running well.
Publicity chair - getting responses to request for help.
March 5 - Mark opens and closes, Rob will learn to open and close.
Auction - Mark will advertise mailing list for auction.
Membership dues - two fee structures for Ephemeris?   Tabled until 
future discussion.
Telescopes - big ones, ask people who donated what to do, them rather 
than just offer them at the auction.
